From reading books in the library to my years working at Little, Brown, I’ve always been a book kid.

One thing has remained constant through it all: I love the people who make books just as much as the books themselves.

I’ve learned how fun—and how challenging—it can be to transfer the idea in your head to a finished book on the shelf. I adore that messy process. And I strive to make it less intimidating and more enjoyable for writers.

I help ambitious writers seize their story's moment, push themselves as authors, and prepare for publication with my personalized, goal-oriented editorial services.

My years in the publishing business showed me just how much writers are left to fend for themselves.

More and more, authors are expected to arrive at agents’ and publishers' doorsteps with a polished manuscript and all the materials to make their book a success. But the truth is most writers are unclear about how to land a book deal, let alone what happens afterwards.

Having seen behind the curtain at a variety of publishing houses, I know what makes particular books work when others fail.

Every time I edit a book, I do so within the context of its genre and, more broadly, its marketplace.

Beyond that, I make it a point to have discussions with my clients about the larger publishing process. What can they do to grow their platform? What types of agents or publishers might be best suited for their work?

My values shape how I edit and advise my clients.

Inclusive

I’m passionate about working with writers from all backgrounds, genres, and experience levels as I believe the literary world only gets stronger when it features more diverse voices.

Supportive

Writing is a vulnerable, sometimes scary, process. You’re a person first and a writer second. I believe both the person and the writer need to be supported in order to find long-term success.

Honest

My intention for all evaluation and feedback is to help you set realistic goals for your manuscript and to define what success will ultimately mean for you. Sugarcoating benefits no one!
