Query Letter Critique

You have a draft ready to query.

Now, you just need to condense your book into a single, persuasive page.

You know you’re ready to get a query letter review if…

You have a drafted letter but are unsure if it will make an impression

You aren’t positive about the best positioning and pitch for your book

You don’t know what you are expected to include in a query letter

When you work with me, you’ll get a query that stands out from the rest.

A query letter review includes:

  • One to two rounds of line notes on your letter

These notes will pinpoint and correct grammatical errors, highlight inconsistencies in voice, clarify language, and point out any literary ticks you may have.

  • One to two calls, one call after every round

We’ll discuss your pitch and positioning, brainstorm comps and the best ways to highlight the most compelling aspects of your book.

  • A final call

Our final call is to review the changes you’ve made and discuss strategy for querying agents.

 Love from past clients.

Your query letter is your first impression. Make sure it’s a great one.

When you work with someone that has been on the editorial side of publishing, you know they’ve heard a lot of pitches. Let me utilize my years of experience to help you craft the most enticing pitch that agents won’t be able to turn down.

“I had such an amazing experience with Liz, who assisted me with editing my query letter. She was able to completely transform my query, but still capture the essence of my writing, and really add some great hooks to help sell the book.

On top of that, she went above and beyond and helped me find agents that would fit me best, and strategies on how to approach them. She was professional, insightful, and I loved working with her!”
